Ingredients:

  • 10-12 bell peppers
  • 2 medium onions
  • 6 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of tomato paste
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1.5 cups of İpek coarse bulgur
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of chili pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 cup of hot water

Preparation:

Wash the peppers and remove the seeds. Finely chop the onion. Sauté the onions with olive oil. Add the tomato paste and sauté for 1 minute. Peel the tomatoes, set aside enough to cover the stuffed peppers, chop the rest, and add them to the onions and tomato paste. Wash and drain the bulgur, add it to the pot, and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Add the spices, salt, and hot water, and cook until the water is absorbed. Stuff the peppers with the bulgur mixture and cover them with the tomato slices. Place the peppers in your pot and add water up to halfway. Bake in a 200°C oven for 1 hour. Enjoy. Bon Appetit!
